Summary/Abstract: King David had done two great sins, which according to the mosaic law was punishable by death: crime and adultery. But he was not a common man, because he was a prophet, a wise and hardened man, a fulfiller and diligent servant of God, as He Himself confesses: “I have found out David of Jesse, man after My heart, who will do all my whishes” (Psalm 13, 22). The honor that David had before God and the people could not have kept him away from the fall, by one mistake he was sinking in the deepest mud of uncleanness, adding by this sin after sin, until the moment when his conscious has awakened and he has repented. God does not admonish him directly, but he sends the prophet Nathan, which through a parable aimed to awaken his slept conscious because of his done sins, he leaves him to judge himself, as one that had the duty as a king to judge the people of Israel. When he hears the reprimand addressed through Nathan by God, David douse not resists, but revolved against himself he shouts: “I have sinned before God” (2 Kings 12, 12). From this understanding and admittance of sin comes also the straitening, because God does not want the sinner’s death, but to return and be alive. We will see throughout this work as David is not only aware of the sin, but it is a real sorrow and return from the way of sin, a thing which is proven by the deep level of humbleness reached by the one who has not hesitated to commit murder and adultery, a thing proven so eloquently in this psalm. The fall and rise of prophet David have given birth to psalm 50, a very profound prayer, which has remained as an example forever for the people who lived to awake the conscience of their sins.
