Summary/Abstract: Harold Pinter je rođen u Londonu 10. oktobra 1930. godine. Otac mu je bio krojač portugalskojevrejskog porekla. Odrastao je u Hakniju, radničkom delu Londona. Glumu je studirao na London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (koju je napustio posle dve godine) i na Central School of Speech and Drama (vrlo kratak period).
