Summary/Abstract: The author of the article, while conducting research on the legacy of the Wiłkomirski family, accidentally came across an unknown letter from 1949. The content of the letter published in the article was accompanied by a commentary presenting its histo- rical context. First of all, the biography of the broadcaster - Alfred Wiłkomirski - was presented, whose profile is worth recalling on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth in 2023. His relationship with his children was presented. Reference was also made to famous musicians’ memories of their father.
