Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the principles of granting special-purpose subsidies from the budget of a local government unit for co-financing investment costs under public-private partnership agreements. The article discusses, among others, issues of own contribution of a public entity, the method of classification of budgetary expenses, the rules for granting special-purpose subsidies by local government units under public-private partnership agreements, and selected problems related to this form of investment co-financing.
