Summary/Abstract: The Catalogue of Jewish Communities is a project by the Jewish Museum in Prague to collect and organize information on the history and development of Jewish settlement in the Czech Lands. The catalogue is based on a geographical system of localities where Jewish communities, prayer societies, cemeteries, and other sites of Jewish significance existed or still exist. The catalogue aims to gather data from various sources, such as censuses, registers, archives, books, illustrations, and oral testimonies. The catalogue covers several thematic areas, such as population, religious organizations, prominent persons, settlement patterns, immovable property, ritual objects, and archival material. The catalogue is a long-term and ongoing work that requires extensive research and excerption of existing and new sources.
