Summary/Abstract: This text presents an important event in the history of the activity of the Volunteer Fire Brigades of the pow. Kalisz, which was their Convention held on 19 January 1919 in Rychnów, in the light of two documents – „Prośby organizatorów Zjazdu Straży Ogniowych wiejskich z pow. kaliskiego w Rychnowie do Sejmiku Powiatowego w Kaliszu” and „Protokołu ze Zjazdu” stored in the State Archives in Kalisz, in the Poviat Department in Kalisz.
