Published by: Институт за българска философска култура

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the layers in Hume’s concept of custom/habit with a reference to his moral philosophy. Some aspects of its continuity with Kant’s concept of Gewohnheit are displayed. At second place the article analyses the four Kant’s notions of habit (assuetudo, consuetudo, promptitudo and habitus) in the Anthropology, with an emphasis on the moral habit and its relations to Kant’s doctrine of virtue.
