Summary/Abstract: This paper examines and compares the legal position of women in the Vinodol Law from 1288, the Senj and Krk/Vrbnik Statutes from 1388. The area is geographically very close, while the time period of the creation of these legal regulations, although spanning about hundred years can still be considered similar enough for comparison. The author analyzes the position of women in matrimonial, family and inheritance law as well as issues of legal protection of women in criminal law. Conclusions are proposed on the similarities and differences of legal solutions based on Croatian/Slavic, Germanic, Venetian and Roman/Byzantine influences that can be traced to the area that is the intersection of these legal and state influences.
