Summary/Abstract: Testamentum as an expression of the testator's statement of the last will, which determines the heir, and it is the most important negotia unilateralia deal mortis causa. The transfer of rights and property from the testator to the heirs has its roots in Roman law, which throughout the long historical development did not allow women to be testators. The authors examine the elements of the will of the last Bosnian queen Katarina Vukčić Kosača, and by analysing her last will, compare it with the forms of the testamentum through different periods of Roman legal history.
