Summary/Abstract: A problem frequently discussed is why the creation of the Golem has been ascribed to Rabbi Löw-Maharal. The author of the paper comes to the conclusion that though the story of the Golem is not mentioned in Maharal’s works directly, there are some passages that might have given rise to the origin of the story of Rabbi Löw and the Golem.
