Summary/Abstract: The article presents a research program known as "discourse analysis from the perspective of the sociology of knowledge" (Wissenssowiologische Diskursanalyse). This approach to discourse links Michel Foucault's reflections on discourse theory with the interpretive paradigm in the social sciences, especially based on the tradition inspired by the works of Peter Berger and Tomas Lukman. It is about the fact that the discourse analysis is oriented towards the sociological analysis of the discursive construction of social reality. Contrary to the Foucauldian tradition, the sociological analysis of the discourse presented here underlines the importance of social actors in the social production and circulation of knowledge. In other words, it uses purely methodological tools in qualitative research in the social sciences, especially some concepts derived from the sociology of knowledge (interpretive schemes, classifications, phenomenal structures, narrative structures) and "anchored theorization".
