Summary/Abstract: The Praśna Upanishad or the Upanishad of Questions and Answers depicts the conversation of the six wise disciples with the wise Pipalada. The goal of their visit is to acquire the highest knowledge, which can save them from the circle of rebirths. The dialogue is divided into six parts, each of which presents a question from one of Pipalada's visitors. Their conversation refers to the creation of the world, the physiology and psychology of man, the activity of the mind during sleep, the posthumous fate of people, the properties of the life-giving breath, and more. The reader seamlessly moves between considering the principles of the macrocosm and the microcosm, at the same time becoming familiar with the basic principles of Upanishadic thought. This Upanishad dates back to the end of the first century BC or the beginning of our era. According to the choice of the philosopher Śankara, it is considered one of the main Upanishads. After the translation of each of the six questions, there are short remarks, which should serve as an aid to the reader.
