Summary/Abstract: “Gross domestic product” is the main indicator for evaluating the economic growth of a country, and “Gross domestic product per capita” allows the expression of efficiency at the individual level. “Effective final consumption” reflects how human needs are met, and “Effective individual final consumption of households” expresses the same aspect at the individual level. In this article, the analysis of the correlation between these two indicators in Romania, in the period 1995-2021, is carried out, using the results of this analysis to make a forecast for the year 2022.
