Summary/Abstract: The article explores the complexity of workaholism and highlights the crucial role of the HR department in addressing and managing it in organizations. Through a profound review of the literature and case studies, the article reveals various aspects of workaholism and its implications for employees and organizational performance. The literature review provides a clear definition of workaholism and identifies the distinctive features that differentiate it from healthy work engagement. Case studies conducted about workaholism provide significant insights on the frequency of workaholism in organizational settings, highlighting relevant correlations and trends. The results underline the importance of a thorough understanding of this phenomenon in order to develop effective prevention and intervention strategies.
