Legal opinion on the bill on National Prosecution Council.

Summary/Abstract: The opinion concerns the detailed questions concerning the bill on National Prosecution Council (Sejm paper no. 4002) answered by the Member of Parliament. The author suggests that the bill is not consistent with the rules of legislative technique because the matter of this bill should be contained in the act on prosecution. It is also discussed the question of giving information for Sejm and President directly by the Council (not through the General Prosecutor). Moreover the author considers that the competences of National Prosecution Council do not diminish the role of the General Prosecutor. In the author’s opinion, the National Prosecution Council will be the central organ of state.
