Methods of financial standing assessmentof building enterprises

Summary/Abstract: From a methodological point of view, the need to consider, in the synthetic methods, the assessment of enterprise’s financial standing, the criterion of the industrial specific features of the analyzed company and the changing economic conditions of its operation seems to be important . In this paper, an attempt has been made to present assumptions of few discriminatory, logit and banking methods to assess the financial standing of companies belonging to the building sector, taking into account the specifics of the industry. Critical reference has been made to numerous cases of simplifications and methodological errors that occur in the national literature on the subject.
