Summary/Abstract: The author is interested in the first Jewish reform congregation founded in Prague as part of the Old School (later Spanish Synagogue), whose activities began in the year 1837. He mentions the origin of the congregation and its programme put forward by the Prague Jewish scholar of the Enlightenment period, Peter Beer.
