Summary/Abstract: The article surveys the scientific work of dr. Tobias Jakobovits, before World War II chief librarian of the Prague Jewish Religious Community and one of the representatives of pre-war Jewish studies in Prague. During the Holocaust period dr. T. Jakobovits worked in the war-time Central Jewish Museum in Prague and perished in Auschwitz in autumn, 1944.
