Summary/Abstract: The article commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Nazi annihilation of the Czech village of Lidice. It also includes the German poem, “Die Schafe von Liditz“, by Ilse Weber, who was imprisoned in the Terezin concentration camp-ghetto and perished in Auschwitz.
