Summary/Abstract: Dr. Štefan Osuský was a significantpersonalityofpre-war,warandpost-warpoliticallife. A controversial person, and an outstanding diplomat on the one hand, and a man with the soul of a rebel coupled to a strong sense of justice on the other, Štefan Osuský wanted to do many things in a different way than many political representatives at that time. Having presented his decisions without fear resulted in a break with Edvard Beneš, who held different opinions in many areas. The following can be mentioned as examples: problems connected with Munich 1938 as well as Beneš’s positive attitude to the Soviet Union. The text provides a non-traditional view of President Edvard Beneš from the viewpoint of the above-mentioned Štefan Osuský who criticized Beneš’s hope and belief in the Soviet Union and refused the falsification of the Czechoslovak history.
