Summary/Abstract: This paper is an anthropological discourse analysis of a contemporary vernacular prophet's new religious movement, based on a seven years long anthropological fieldwork in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Serbia. The author gives an insight to the process how someone can become a member of this Christian fundamentalist group (the "shines").
