Summary/Abstract: The presented article indicates the personal connections between the 17th-century collegiate chapter in Sandomierz and the Latin rite cathedral chapter in Krasnystaw. There were only three Sandomierz canons identified simultaneously as canons of the Chełm cathedral chapter during the entire century: Rev. Jan Skrzyński († 1651/1652), Rev. Andrzej Bzicki († 1664) and Rev. Andrzej Pęgowski († 1689). They constituted only slightly more than 2% of the chapter’s body. This seems to prove that members of the prestigious and well-endowed Sandomierz chapter were not very interested in positions in the Chełm cathedral. The listed canons found themselves in Krasnystaw not because of the attractiveness of the local chapter, but because of their personal connections with the bishops of the Chełm diocese or for family reasons. In addition, due to the limited recognition in the research field, the article details the activities of the above-mentioned canons in the Krasnystaw-based body: their attendance at chapter meetings, fulfilling liturgical duties in the Chełm cathedral, performing intrachapter functions, special missions undertaken on behalf of the chapter and other public tasks.
