Summary/Abstract: The EU requirements are focused on low emissions and the introduction of pro-ecological solutions, which are also transferred into warehouse management and trends in logistics. Investors and tenants of warehouse spaces are increasingly interested in the ecological aspect. Previously, this issue was associated mainly with the image aspect, but now it is also associated with energy efficiency, which transfers into economic benefits. In recent years, there has been an increasing de- mand for warehouse space in Poland, especially in the “Big Five” area. Thus, there is an increased interest in warehouse space that has multi-criteria building certifi- cation. This certification is related to confirming the pro-environmental nature of the facility and constitutes verified information for investors. In Poland, the subject of green warehouse space and its certification has been a topic of interest for only a few years and does take into account the latest data in the context of building certification in Poland, including warehouse space. The publication presents a re- view of the Polish literature on the topic mentioned above, along with an attempt to determine the perspectives of the sector in question.
