Summary/Abstract: Exploring the visits made by the ruler (and his family) to Pest-Buda, the paper aims to reconstruct the process of courtly life at Buda in the nineteenth century. The analysis primarily focuses on those occasions which indicate, on the one hand, how the palace of Buda was used by the Viennese court in the first half of the 19th century and, on the other hand, the stations and phases of a real rebirth of courtly life in the second half of the century.
