Summary/Abstract: This work presents the results of a research project that aimed to research the religiosity of healthcare workers in the city of Banja Luka. Research was conducted on a total of 172 interviewed persons, divided into experimental (healthcare workers) and control group (other profesions), and the tool for research was an interview form of a closed type. Research about degrees of religiosity and of belonging to determined professional groups is necessarily situated within the historical conflict between religious and scientific thought. This question awakes special interest when addressed towards professions that are connected to exact natural sciences and to scientific research, as medicine is. Based on the results of this research project, we notice that healthcare workers are more religious in relation to the control group of workers of different professions. More healthcare workers believe in God, more healthcare workers occasionally attend mass, more healthcare workers fast and read religious literature. The only one question in response to which healthcare workers did not express more devotion is a tricky question connected to their practices at work.
