Summary/Abstract: The complicated global ecological situation requires the implementation of new sustainable models of economic activity, which contribute to minimizing the impact on the environment. To ensure environmental protection, prevent pollution, ensure the balance between these elements and social and economic needs within companies, the environmental management system is developed and implemented. The complex of financial and strategic control methods within environmental management constitutes the notion of eco-control. Also of great importance is the observance of international environmental standards and the performance of the environmental audit. To assist companies in environmental risk management, some insurance companies have developed special insurance products.
