Summary/Abstract: The last two decades have been marked by important transformations in the banking industry related to the implementation of the Bank 3.0 model and the gradual transition to the Bank 4.0 model. It is about the gradual movement of banking activity into cyberspace and the digitization of related technological processes. It is about the rapid spread, deepening and diversification of the forms of digitization of banking activity at the global level. At the same time, hostile activities against banks in the form of cyber-attacks and digital bank fraud have increased in quantity and changed in quality. Cybercrime has become increasingly prevalent in the financial sector and is now considered one of the biggest risks to the banking industry. Hackers have honed in applied technologies, improving their skills, which makes every banking institution strive to minimize the related dangers. All this requires substantial efforts to strengthen the cyber security of banking institutions. The study that was the basis of this article was carried out by examining the views of experts published in the Internet space, in order to further create a synthesis picture on the problems of cyber security in commercial banks and the ways of preventing and combating them.
