Summary/Abstract: Quoting Mozart or adopting Mozart's creative ideas into contemporary music seems to be a frequently used compositional technique, especially in Romanian music. The stylistic diversity of the works analyzed is remarkable, perhaps also thanks to different times of creation over the course of two decades, but mainly due to the individualization of certain personalities (Ferdinand Weiss, Alfred Schnittke, Violeta Dinescu, Roman Vlad, Aurel Stroe, Tiberiu Olah, Hans-Peter Türk and Dan Dediu). The path that reveals itself extends from ludic collage to the suggestion of symbolic Mozartian elements.
