Summary/Abstract: The Republic of Karakalpakstan, situated on an island's coast, grapples with an enduring shortage of irrigationwater that wreaks havoc on its national economy and agricultural productivity year after year. In response to thispressing challenge, the adoption of hydrogels as a technology for moisture retention emerges as a dependablesolution. Hydrogels, renowned for their capacity to absorb and retain water within their structure, offer apromising avenue to mitigate the adverse effects of water scarcity in Karakalpakstan. By integrating hydrogelsinto soil or irrigation systems, moisture can be efficiently captured and stored, significantly reducing losses dueto evaporation and ensuring a consistent supply of water to plant roots.
