Summary/Abstract: The article presents the life story of Władysław Żyła, hailing from the village of Przybradz. He lived from 1898 to 1934. Despite his peasant background, he pursued education and earned a doctorate from the Jagiellonian University. He actively fought for Poland’s independence, participating in both the Silesian uprisings and the Polish-Bolshevik war. He was involved in plebiscite campaigns and played significant roles in various patriotic and grassroots organizations. Additionally, Żyła worked as a high school teacher in Mikołów and Kraków.
