ACTIVATION ACTIVITIES FOR SENIORS AS PERCEIVED BY RESIDENTS OF SUPPORT CENTRES

Summary/Abstract: The issues of activation measures for senior citizens is an interesting topic inan ageing society. Older age usually affects a person’s limitation of movement. Theactivation measures undertaken counteract these trends. A study of a group of 109participants in the activation measures organised by the support centres showedthe forms and motivations for this participation. The research showed in whichactivation activities seniors participate most often and what motivates residents toundertake these activities.
