Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the reassessment of the Diring-Yuryakh assemblage in Central Yakutia. It is argued that the assemblage has no analogues among the Middle and Upper Paleolithic of Northeast Asia. Archaeological materials from Diring-Yuryakh indicate the existence of an Early Paleolithic workshop with an original stone industry in the middle reaches of the Lena River, which in all likelihood should be dated to Marine-Isotope Stage 11 and is therefore considerably older than 300 kyr BP.
