Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses some of the main themes in aeolian corrasion research in the archaeological context. Modern geomorphological understanding suggests the necessity of more diverse and specific critical review, including such themes as physical framework, environmental features, active agents of corrasion process in order to correct identification and explanation of erosion marks at archaeological artifacts. The physical principles of the interaction between moving particle and hard surface are considered in detail. The problems of the study of corraded archaeological complexes are identified. In conclusion, the main future research directions based on an interdisciplinary approach are identified.
