Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the publication is to trace how the initial neoliberal capitalist model of the early 1980s and 1990s, the transfer of property into private hands and extensive market reforms, gradually gave way to the growing influence of the state on big business. In all three studied economies, the state built a network of proxy companies that benefited from the large public projects. At the same time, it became a market participant by partially restoring its market ownership through buying large market assets.
