Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the role of computer programs in the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data in the context of complex research problems. The article demonstrates the poten- tial of these tools by illustrating selected results of original research analyses, while simultaneously highlighting the possibilities and effects of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis results. The article focuses on selected aspects related to the use of computer programs for analyzing diverse data. The use of the MaxQda program for analyzing qualitative and quantitative data is described in detail. Additionally, selected methods of analysis and data processing are presented, focusing on the decision-making processes of criminals. The discussed results pertain to original research utilizing survey, estimation, and in-depth interview methods with elements of narrative interviews. As evidenced by research experiences, computer programs greatly enhance and facili- tate the analysis of multifaceted research problems, particularly supporting researchers in compa- ring multiple qualitative and quantitative variables across different research groups.
