Summary/Abstract: The article aims to identify and briefly point out the modal elements and structures from the fifteen choral potpourris named Garlands, signed by coryphaeus of Serbian choral music, composer Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac. The way these are being handled – from the perspective of a musician educated in the West, following the rules of the tonal-functional system – is highlighted.
