Summary/Abstract: Harmonized for decades, ethnographic museum activity relied on the musealization of material cultural testimonies which, among others about the entire folk culture, document and argue for the value of the culture of economics of traditional rural communities. It turned out that the inevitable process of the disappearance of traditional patterns and forms of economy has led to a distinctive attitude of the application of today’s agriculture towards the former systems, which were basically suitable for the preservation and sustainability of the natural environment in the long run. Prospects for including the idea and content of the modern concept of agrarian heritage in ethnographic museum activity, its future mission and vision, open a space for a wider dialogue by bearers of public discourse on heritage with members of local communities who today, in significantly difficult conditions, try to maintain existing or revitalize dead knowledge, skills and practices related to agriculture, livestock, fruit growing and viticulture as well as other traditional economic activities.
