Summary/Abstract: The Bacovian space is an expression of the dynamics of feelings of a poet living under the tragic feeling of existence. The outer space is populated by symbols that betray the degradation, the anguish of modern man, who refuses the transcendence. All the emotions are inflected in the feeling of acute loneliness that takes the form of a double abyss – outer and inner. The melancholy becomes a background state for him, because Bacovia takes to the extreme state Eminescu's solemn meditation. Witness of this estate is the poet's room, a space of total loneliness and emptiness of being. Thus, the outer and inner emptiness give Bacovia a poetic of the wilderness different from Eminescu's loneliness, full of being.
