Summary/Abstract: The liturgical renewal of the Vaticanum II defined a series of postulates that the fathers intended to give new expression to the liturgy of the Roman Church. These postulates were formulated primarily in the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy Sacrosanctum Concilium, which became the founding document of the subsequent reform. Among those postulates, some were formulated in precise terms, while others – not written down explicitly – derive from the spirit of the proposed reform. One of these non-explicitly articulated postulates is the concern for the shape of the ars celebrandi. In this study, the author tries to articulate the conciliar indications on this issue and, from the perspective of six decades, evaluate their reception in the liturgy of the Roman Church.
