Summary/Abstract: Emerging from the framework of classical Islam – and starting from the same premises of faith –, Sufism developed as a special niche, which – through sensitivity and dedication – managed to impose itself as a presence of subtle and enveloping savor. Proposing a perspective of complete devotion that leads to an identification with God through an intense and theologically undiluted love, Sufi mysticism brings with it inedited concepts of faith. On the other hand, going through the mystical texts of important Sufi figures – Ibn Arabī, Al-Hallāj, Rūmī or Sanā'ī – in an extensive philosophical key, we discover new conceptual horizons that, through interpretive positionings, allow revelations of new ontological and epistemological meanings (the inclination towards the sacred, limitation and presence, unio mystica, loss and nostalgia etc.) Moreover, by searching for distinct essences of the being, we discover not only new existential meanings, but especially pertinent phenomenological concept-objects; these reductions to the essence not only lexically enrich the phenomenology of religion, but also propose a further development of a Sufism approached phenomenologically.
