Summary/Abstract: Four kilometers from the village of Ideciu de Jos, in the area called Sânişoare, medieval iron objects and counterfeit coins were found by means of metal detectors. Documents do not mention any fortress in the area, tradition dating from the 18th century refers to the site as Sânişoare. Most of the material can be dated to the 14–15th century, the Sigismund of Luxembourg-era counterfeit coins have been of some help in this respect.
