Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the analysis of the remains of two dwellings excavated at the Western Tripolye culture settlement of Kolodistoe II in 2004 and the obtained collections of ceramics, figurines and tools made of stone, flint and bone. The analysis of ceramic complex contributes to the understanding of the evolution of technology, morphology and ornamentation of Tripolye pottery in the Southern Bug and Dnieper interfluve. One of the two dwellings had one storey, while two-storeyed dwellings dominate in the Tripolye settlements in this region. Analysis of the pottery collection enables referring Kolodistoe II to the second (late) phase of Nebelevskaya local group of the Western Tripolye culture of the end of Tripolye BII period. Construction techniques applied to producing of the interior elements and their location in the dwellings of Kolodistoe II and other settlements of Nebelevskaya group may indicate that, while migrating to the Southern Bug and Dnieper interfluve, populations of Mereshevskaya group also brought their traditions of organizing interior of houses.
