Summary/Abstract: This article brings closer the development of Polish-language literature in Zaolzie in Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia before 1993). The article focuses on the periodization of the development of that literary output, development trends, literary currents, literary groups and the most important artists (Henryk Jasiczek, Paweł Kubisz, Wilhelm Przeczek, Renata Putzlacher and others). First, the literature of Zaolzie often used dialectal elements and described the region. Later, it referred to the Współczesność (Modernity) and Nowa Fala (New Wave) generation. Currently it touches upon various topics, using the bilingual aspect.
