Summary/Abstract: The article treats mostly the influence of well-off dealers on urban planning in the late nineteenth century. Hajji Nikola hajji Dimov Minchoolou from Tyrnovo and his partners, who dealt mostly in export and import, set an interesting example. Based in Tyrnovo, they had properties and inns, warehouses and shops in the city. The famous Inn of Hajji Nikoli was built by them to play a significant role. They established and developed trade relations with the cities on the Danube, with Istanbul and Vienna. With the expansion of their trade activities, they acquired and built properties in the trade areas of different towns. Their activities have a significant contribution to the development of the urban structure over the nineteenth century.
