Summary/Abstract: In 2020, the National Agency for Archaeology conducted preventive archaeological research at barrow No. 8 in Hanasenii Noi, Leova district. As a result of the investigation, 9 graves and 11 pits were discovered. The initial mound was constructed above three Late Eneolithic graves, subsequently destroyed, and attributed to the Cernavoda I culture. Later on, the following burials were identified within the mound: a grave, likely associated with the Jivotilovka culture, a pit burial of the Yamnaya culture, two burials of the Catacomb culture, one burial of the Multi-pit culture, and a grave dating back to the medieval period. In the central part of the mound, ancient disturbances were documented, during which graves 1, 3, 4, and 9 were either destroyed or severely damaged. Additionally, disruptions from the medieval or modern period were observed, with the excavation of two pits, likely serving as shelters for signal pyres.
