Summary/Abstract: Enhanced visibility personal protective equipment (PPE), including warning clothing and retroreflective accessories, can increase the user's safety on the road thanks to the fluorescent and/or retroreflective materials used. Unfortunately, most of these products do not encourage to use, mainly due to their unattractive appearance and low quality of workmanship. Due to the large number of road accidents involving vulnerable road users (including pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists), it is necessary to increase public awareness of enhanced visibility PPE and develop new PPE, attractive in terms of the design, in line with the expectations of target users. For this purpose, surveys were carried out among various groups of vulnerable road users, which were aimed at understanding their needs in relation to new enhanced visibility PPE. The obtained results will constitute the basis for developing the material and construction assumptions for new PPE.
