Summary/Abstract: Manual laser welding, one of the latest advancements in welding technology, poses specific occupational hazards, particularly for welders' eyes exposed to harmful optical laser radiation. Despite the widespread use of this technology, there is a lack of clear and consistent methods for assessing occupational risk. This article aims to fill this gap by analyzing various methods of determining the maximum permissible and expected exposure to laser radiation, as well as defining the required protection level for filters protecting against laser radiation. The results of this analysis may assist in creating more effective safety protocols for welders conducting manual laser welding, which is crucial for their health and safety.
