Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to trace the human-animalrelationship in the situation of theCOVID-19 pandemic in Filelfo’s novel L’assembleadegli animali. The author will examine howthe ideas of animalism are revealed in the novel.In the first part, the ideology of animalism willbe discussed, in the second part we will look atthe invasion of animals into a deserted city ina pandemic. The third part will focus on the relationshipwith pets in a pandemic. The last, fourthpart, will discuss the process of hybridizationreconnectionwith nature.
