Summary/Abstract: The presented article presents social services in the local community in the context of thedeinstitutionalization process. The concept of deinstitutionalization, social services of a care farm, and the Polish model of the same were presented. A brief overview of Europeanexperience in the provision of social services in rural areas is presented.
