Summary/Abstract: In the review article, I focus on selected axiologicaland ethical issues, such as the value ofcare, mindfulness and hope in Jane Goodall’sreflection, as well as on almost half a centuryof Jane Goodall’s ecological and educational activism, the intellectual summary of which is thepublished The Book of Hope: A Survival Guidefor an Endangered Planet. I analyze the hypothesisthat the secret of the impressive effectivenessof several decades of Goodall’s activities isthe result of a consistently implemented strategyof ecological and social intersectionalism. Themain method, successfully used by Goodall, isgentle persuasion, which appeals to the recipient’semotions, combined with motivating narrativesabout precisely selected, interpenetratingproblems on the border of natural sciences, political,socio-economic sciences and humanities.I aim to that Jane Goodall’s scientific and socialactivity fits into the framework of contemporaryso-called prefigurative ethics, i.e. reflectionand attitude announcing a higher moralgood and arousing empathy, local involvementand a sense of agency in the recipientsof Goodall’s narrative.
